IC Endcard
A 13-second synthwave logo animation for a skydiving special ops team, with the look directed through rapid iterative exploration.
The IC Skydiving Special Ops team makes videos and documentaries of their jumps, and their latest was going full synthwave, a 1980s theme that needed a 13-second logo animation to close it out. Their logo does not naturally lend itself to that vibe, so I directed the look through deliberate iteration. They love cinematic, epic animation, so that is where I started, and as we explored, they leaned harder and harder into the synthwave world until the direction found itself.
The gallery here is that process, the full lookdev exploration from cinematic to synthwave, chrome, grids, sunset gradients, and everything in between. AI-assisted workflows let me put real, rendered options in front of the client instead of describing them, and each round of reactions told me exactly where to push next. Thirteen seconds of final animation, directed through dozens of looks, and the client got the version they did not know how to ask for at the start.

The iterative exploration that got us there, cinematic on one end, synthwave on the other, and every step between.
