Magnetic Dreams (now Armada) brought me in to create a set of abstract 3D shots for a large film explaining Dell’s Edge software. The brief was genuinely hard, visually complex software topics, distributed computing, data moving at the edge of the network, that had to be translated into abstract imagery an audience could feel before they fully parsed it. I directed and built the shots, deciding what each concept looked like, how it moved, and how the set would cut into the larger edit.

Abstract work fails when it becomes wallpaper, so I anchored every shot to the specific idea it stood for, structure for infrastructure, flow for data, convergence for the edge itself, and kept one material and lighting world across the set. The shots had to drop into someone else’s edit and feel native, which meant designing them with the cut in mind, clear entry energy, a readable hero moment, and an exit the editor could work with.
